Our Services
Behavioral Medicine Network
CHRISTUS Spohn Health System provides a full range of services for children, adolescents, adults and seniors experiencing emotional difficulties. CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi–Memorial offers short-term treatment in an acute inpatient setting. Treatments include individual and group therapy and a family support group. Alcohol-dependent and chemically dependent patients receive detoxification and treatment, including a 12-step program. The crisis stabilization unit offers short-term assistance for chemically dependent and chronically ill patients.
Special short-term inpatient geropsychiatric programs are available at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi–South and CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Alice. Treatment includes the Montessori Program, a unique tool designed for lower-functioning elderly patients.
Spohn Outreach Services (SOS) is a psychiatric and chemical dependency mobile assessment team offering free assessments to physician offices, emergency departments and other local agencies 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Counselors respond in less than an hour.
Several outpatient services are available through the CHRISTUS Spohn Behavioral Medicine Network, including an evening chemical dependency recovery program. A partial day program is a time-limited, ambulatory, active treatment program designed to promote psychiatric stabilization or reduce the length of a hospital stay.
The CHRISTUS Spohn Behavioral Medicine Network offers programs at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Alice, CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi–Memorial and CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi–South. Access to all programs can be facilitated by contacting us or calling 1-888-767-4493.
